RULES AND REGULATIONS (1/21/13)
Welcome to Project Destiny! To keep our site enjoyable to the entire community, we the administration have several guidelines that we wish to address. We ask that you become familiar with these rules or keep them in mind so that we may avoid conflict. The administration is here for you, but as a member to our site, we ask only a few things. We the administration will do our best to keep an unbiased decision when it comes to punishing those that do not abide by our rules; read on! The rules will and can be edited at any time. An announcement will be made whenever these have been modified.SITE RATING
Project Destiny is loosely considered at an PG-13 rating. Mature content such as sex, violence, blood and gore are encouraged to spice up the role plays but try to tone it down a bit as well without being too graphic. We believe in granting role players freedom and feel that by giving them the opportunity to go above the norm with their topics. We simply ask that you don't go too graphic as this may hurt our views and prevent those who desire to play the chance to do so.RESPECT
Respect is key. Respect your fellow members - remember the golden rule. Any inappropriate manners (through private messages and threads) will not be tolerated. If someone is harassing you, PM an admin.REGISTERING
When registering make sure to register with your character's first then last name. This makes it easier to know who you are playing. If you do not follow this format, you will be PM'd asking that you submit a name change request. You are only allowed to have one character per account, so every new characters needs its own account.GRAPHICS
Avatars are restricted to 200 pixels by 250 pixels (200x250). Animated avatars are acceptable, if and only if they fall within the width and height size restriction. Signatures can be of any dimension, so long as it does not stretch the board. Please do not stretch the board. You will be PM'd if you have posted an image that is too wide or big.POWER-PLAYING
No god-modding. This means simply, don't have a character that is too powerful or has traits that could be considered god-like. This is a popular rule in many role play forums. It is unkind to have a character that has no equal, or weaknesses. Start with a weak character, and make him/her stronger through their challenges. Also, do not control another player's character without their permission.PLAGIARISM
ALL WRITTEN WORK ON PROJECT DESTINY MUST BE
ORIGINAL. PLAGIARIZING OFF OF OTHER PEOPLE, MOVIES, BOOKS, SERIES, ETC, CAN AND WILL RESULT IN A BAN.TIME ERA
Although our world is fantasy, keep in mind that this is for the most part a modernistic setting: there are guns but there aren't lasers. We also require that you keep in the mindset and genre of our world -- sure, dragons might be demi-gods in some other worlds, but they aren't in Project Destiny.POSTING
Spelling and grammar make a role play enjoyable if corrections are made. Though you are not required to do so, we recommend that you type your role plays into a word processor such as Microsoft Word, so that you may check your spelling and grammar. Although there is no specific word count, we ask that you put some effort into your writing -- also, remember that it is rude if you post only thirty words in reply to say a post of six hundred; try to mirror the number of words and try to keep your word count consistent. Please try to mark any threads that may be graphic with the [R] tag.
You may also restrict who posts in your thread by marking it with the following tags in the title or the description:
*Remember the rules are subject to change without public notice, and you are responsible for keeping up to date with the rules and regulations here at Paradisus.
[O] or no tags or Open - This thread tag signifies that anyone can join in the role play.
[P] or Private - Only people you invite can reply. PM the thread creator if interested.
[R] or Rated R - Be warned, there may be some extremely graphic content here. (Must have staff approval!)
